FUTURE OF MEETINGS

This project was a prime candidate for motion control because the post-production needed to do a lot of compositing and there was one shot in particular that greatly benefited from it (see the breakdown below).

The day before the shoot we figure out where the desks needed to be relative to camera for every shot, then marked the floor so we could quickly move between setups.

We concurrently programed the robot position with the desks, so once it was time for a new shot, we were able to immediately recall each position. This meant on the day of the shoot we could move the desks and camera from one scene to the next in under a minute. Then we took our time lighting the talent, and ran the moves repeatedly until we captured a few great takes.

Then we passed the footage to Ranger + Fox and they took care of the rest.
